Transitional Housing Project at Hoi Hing Road, Tsuen Wan

The Modular Integrated Construction method (“MiC”) is the latest innovation in the construction, which can reduce construction time, uplift on-site productivity and control good quality in factory.

In line with the Development Bureau’s direction, In-principle Acceptance for Chinney’s MiC system/ component has been granted by Buildings Department in July 2021. This advance step provides some opportunities to Chinney for the co-operation with some non-governmental organizations for transitional housing. Chinney’s contributions also benefit to the low income earners/ family and/or persons living in subdividing flats.

Chinney is proud of the mile stone of the completion of a transitional housing (i.e. the design and construction contract for Transitional Housing Project at 15 Hoi Hing Road, Tsuen Wan). The Works consist of two residential clusters that provide a total of 212 MiC living units, including 1-2 person units, 3-4 person units, 5 person units and accessible units. Each living unit is equipped with its own cooking space and a toilet with bathing facilities. In addition, this project consists of its own communal recreational areas and activity venues to provide a pleasant living environment to the residents. The attraction of this project is five circular MiC units for residential purpose and management office.
