Chinney was awarded the contract from The University of Hong Kong and carried out renovation works of the Rooms 120 & 120A at 1/F New Clinical Building of Queen Mary Hospital for Department of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine.

This project includes the dismantling of existing fixture and finishes. The new vinyl flooring, false ceiling systems, decoration wall panel, built-in furniture together with mechanical and electrical engineering etc. form a modernized clinical rooms.

The challenges during construction were to maintain a safely environment, to keep noise to an acceptable levels without disruption to the hospital’s daily operations and to remove asbestos strictly in accordance with the current Legislation.
